Keep it simple

Your next sushi night, in three steps.

01

Set the table.

Gather a rolling mat, chopsticks, a small bowl of water, and your ingredients. A little preparation makes room for the fun.

02

Find your filling.

Try cucumber, avocado, or cooked shrimp. Spread prepared sushi rice over nori and add a small line of your favorites.

03

Roll with it.

Use the mat to roll gently and firmly. Slice, serve, and enjoy. Your first roll doesn't have to be perfect to make a great night.

A little help getting started

First time rolling?
You're in good company.

What do I need to make sushi at home?

A rolling mat, nori, prepared sushi rice, and your favorite fillings are a simple starting point. A rice paddle and a sharp kitchen knife are useful, too. Ingredients are separate from the sample tool kits shown here.

Do I need raw fish?

No. Cucumber, avocado, cooked shrimp, and other cooked or vegetable fillings make great starting options.
